Enumclaw

Enumclaw, Washington, is a charming small city located in King County, about an hour’s drive southeast of Seattle. It serves as a gateway to some of the Pacific Northwest's most beautiful natural scenery, including Mount Rainier National Park, which is just a short drive away. The city's name is derived from the native Salish language and is said to mean "place of evil spirits," in reference to the thundering noises made by active mudflows from Mount Rainier.

Enumclaw is known for its beautiful surroundings, outdoor recreational activities, and its quaint downtown area. If you're visiting, you can explore the trails and natural beauty of the nearby Cascade Range and enjoy activities like hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and during the winter months, snow sports.

The downtown offers a small-town feel with its main street lined with local shops, restaurants, and galleries which showcase the local culture and arts. Enumclaw also hosts events throughout the year, including the King County Fair and Pacific Northwest Scottish Highland Games & Clan Gathering.

The Enumclaw Plateau Farmer's Market and local agriculture are a big part of life in Enumclaw, with the plateau area surrounding the town being fertile ground for farming.
