Owl Canyon Campground is a small year-round campground with limited services, located north of Barstow, California. There are 22 campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis for $6/night, with no hookups. Potable water is sometimes trucked in, but availability is limited so you'll need to bring your own. There are vault toilets and no garbage service (pack in/pack out). Sites have picnic tables (some are shaded/covered) and fire rings.
Owl Canyon Campground is located within the scenic Rainbow Basin Natural Area, an Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), with stunning geological features as well as numerous paleontological features. Permits are required to remove fossils. If any are found, please leave them in place and notify the BLM.
